Yesterday spent all morning working on the headsail furler.
An hour and a half to get it apart, as much as I could, and 4 hours to get it back together !
AND it still isn't fixed ! It needs a part which is apparently unavailable, so it may mean a replacement Furlex Type C drum assembly, if I can find one, or replace the whole system, drum, foils etc
It still works, its just that I can't put maximum tension on the genoa halyard.
Thinking about things that have happened I think it has been in this state since 2010 when we went to Tonga on the voyage from hell. Thtat's probably when it broke.
Anyway, I'm l;eaving the marina today heading to the Mamanucas for a few days sailing.....
