Friends Christine and Terry turned up today. Teka Nova is being hauled out for the cyclone season.
Everything went without incident, but some amusing anecdotes.
One of the yardmen, George (orange T-shirt) seems to have a liking for being in what I would call dangerous positions, like underneath the boat when it is lifted out of the water, underneath the boat when its being trundled along on the travel lift.
Look at where the load is. With this long thin keel a lot of the boat weight is on a very small piece of the lifting strop.
The last photo is the best, Mo, the very skilled travel lift operator, has just realised that Terry hasn't given him the signed form for haul out (absolving the marina of all responsibility) and he's not putting Teka Nova in the hole until he's got it !
