Johnny Wray sailed Ngataki around the Pacific in the 1930s and wrote a book "South Sea Vagabonds".
In it he said :
"Don't go wandering in a ship around the South Sea Islands. For, if you do, the Spirit of Wanderlust will get right into your bones and you will never be satisfied to return to work in
towns. Then you will become just a vagabond of the seas, like me. It is terrible...."
He was right !
